# Meet the Team!
We represent a group of people who care deeply for the lives of youth in Summit County. We believe young people are worth being invested in, cared for and encouraged in their lives. Each team member is an individual with qualities, passions, and experiences that are unique to them. These unique individuals want to connect with each and every one of the amazing students who show up to SCY.
Chance moved to Summit County in the beginning of January 2024. It was the opportunity to work with SCY as the SCY Coordinator that brought him here. He has had a heart and passion for working with youth since the beginning of his college days in 2018, eventually even working for a church in running youth programs while still in college. In his free time, Chance loves anything active. One of his biggest passions is weightlifting. He competes in a category called powerlifting. He also loves snowboarding and back country touring in the winter and loves to spend the day on the lake in the summer. He is excited to build new relationships within the community and with the students involved in SCY and is excited for what the future holds.
Kelly has lived in Summit County since 2003. She is married to Paul Steinweg and has 3 amazing kids. Paul and Kelly love family time more than anything. Raising kids is one of their greatest adventures in this life. Kelly loves running trails and exploring the mountains. Kelly has enjoyed being a mentor and friend to young people since high school. She was a counselor to younger kids at Young Life camps growing up, encouraging them to explore faith and to live a life of meaning and purpose. After volunteering for SCY during her first couple years while living in Summit County, she eventually ran middle school SCY with her husband as staff from 2006-2010. Kelly joined the SCY board in 2020 with a desire to continue supporting the students of Summit County by investing in the current staff that run the SCY program. Seeing her own kids, as well as other students who participate in SCY, have a place to play, be mentored and explore faith in God is of immense importance to Kelly.
Holly moved to Summit County in 1998 after college to pursue her dream of living in the mountains for one year. That one year was extended as she fell in love with the community of Breckenridge Christian Ministries, the outdoors, and her husband Tony, whom she married in 2005. Tony and Holly have 3 amazing and fun kids who all participate in the SCY programs. Holly has seen the many positive impacts SCY can have on both the youth of Summit County and the mentors and volunteers of the program. She loves how SCY provides a safe place for kids to be kids, while exploring their faith and relationship with God, in a fun and positive environment. Holly loves to play outside with her family and dog Daisy. She enjoys trail running, hiking, backpacking, skiing, Nordic skiing, and being in or near the water in the summer. Holly is excited about SCY, and providing a program for youth in Summit County to Be Known, Be Loved, and Belong.
Stephanie has lived in Breckenridge since 2020 and has three crazy teenage boys! In her free time, she loves being outdoors, challenging herself, and making memories with her family. She enjoys many of the outdoor adventures that Summit County has to offer, from snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, trail running, and rafting/SUPing the nearby rivers. Stephanie has served in different capacities over the years in the local youth group, leading different bible studies and being on the board of the local MOPS group. SCY has been pivotal in loving and giving one of her sons a safe place to grow and feel accepted during the challenging middle school years. Stephanie is passionate about our youth and creating a safe place for them to grow and create memories that last a lifetime.
SCY is a non-profit organization that relies on a community of volunteers. There’s nothing quite as exciting as walking alongside of another human being as they’re trying to figure out the world around them.
