SCY (Summit County Youth)
SCY (Summit County Youth) offers a safe place for students to “Be Known, Be Loved, and Belong”. At SCY get-togethers and events, students connect with other SCY friends and mentors, developing relationships that last a lifetime. We offer a variety of programs from Kindergarten through high school-age youth.
WHY SCY?
While there are many organizations you could choose to be involved in, know that SCY is a safe place you can participate in whenever you want. There’s no requirement and no cost to come. Just show up and be prepared to be welcomed and cared for by incredible adult leaders who want to be a positive influence in your life. You may just develop lasting friendships with your peers and these amazing adult leaders as you participate more and more. Why not?
OUR PROGRAMS
SCY EL
KINDERGARTEN – 5TH GRADE
For our elementary students, SCY EL is a place of all-out fun with relay races, original group games, and crafts! The students will learn about larger concepts like friendship, peace-making, forgiveness, prayer, gratitude, taking care of our world, etc. through lessons and stories.
SCY MID
6TH – 8TH GRADE
Middle school can be one of the hardest parts of life, and we want to help students engage socially and spiritually through the lens of FUN. Our middle school students come together for SCY MID, a night of wacky games, contests and an engaging discussion. Weekly breakfast opportunities before school and exciting monthly events & annual trips are also offered. Our middle school leaders pursue connection with the students as they navigate the ups and downs of adolescence.
SCY HI
High School is a time of new freedoms, excitement, and busyness combined with preparation and thoughts about the future. SCY HI is a welcoming place for students to take a break from their crazy weeks, hang out with other students, process current events and meaningful topics, while “letting loose” to channel their inner kid. Our volunteers are excited to intentionally pursue and walk with these students where they are at in life.

Get Involved
SCY is a non-profit organization that relies on a community of volunteers. There’s nothing quite as exciting as walking alongside of another human being as they’re trying to figure out the world around them.
